iMethods is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for a large health system in Richmond, Virginia. The candidate will work directly with the PMO Director, supporting all the functions for the Project Management Office; including project management processes, reporting, IT fiscal management, and for the success of projects measured in terms of attaining objectives for project scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Responsibilities:
All aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects, generally managing multiple technically complex projects at one time from original concept to implementation.
Given the scope of highly complex projects or simultaneous multiple medium to large sized projects; the Sr. Project Manager directs the completion of the required activities for: Integration management, Scope management, Schedule management, Cost management, Quality management, Human resources management, Communication & stakeholder management, Risk management, Change management. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports for the most complex enterprise technology projects.
Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to senior leadership.
Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solution of problems.
Applies expert knowledge in managing complex multi- phase projects in academic hospital environment. May act as PMO lead / supervisor as directed by IT leadership.
Assists in staff recruitment including the acquisition of temporary consultant staff for projects.
Conducts research on project management trends and makes recommendations to management on approaches to follow in streamlining or enhancing project management processes.
Develops and manages the project budget.
Applies extensive technical expertise in principle discipline and broad knowledge in related disciplines in revising or developing new methods and procedures.
Solid working knowledge of one or more VCU Health System lines of business.
Solid working knowledge of the health care industry.
Provides solutions to highly complex technical problems requiring frequent use of creativity and ingenuity and an in-depth analysis and evaluation of multiple factors.
Requirements: Candidates must have PMP and previous Epic experience. Position typically requires a Bachelors degree with six to ten years of related experience, or equivalent combination of related education and experience. Related certification preferred. Utilizes considerable latitude in determining objectives of assignments and determining approaches to solutions with work performed from a long-term perspective and for achieving desired objectives.
