iMethods is seeking an Informatics Analyst for a healthcare client near the coast of South Carolina. This is a full time position and will require relocation to the area.

Position Summary:

The Informatics Analyst (IA) functions as the clinical expert, educator, consultant and leader for hospital's information systems.  Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation and training of information system projects to improve the end user experience.  Will function as an internal consultant and resource to ambulatory practice personnel and will provide direction and education for all clinical information systems initiatives in accordance with the strategic objectives of the hospital. Will continually monitor and evaluate opportunities for technical innovations and enhancements, ensuring that the applications and systems utilized are consistent with professional standards of best clinical practice. The IA will interpret, modify, analyze and design clinical systems, data, and information as well as implement applications, tools, processes, and structures that assist with the management of data in the provision of health care. The IA will coordinate with Information Systems team (IS) to identify, select and maintain equipment needed for optimal utilization of the clinical electronic systems, policy development and monitoring of process changes. Will participate in department operational and clinical committees in relation to clinical system design and management of complex interactions between applications being implemented and various patient care processes and workflows. The IA will prepare training sessions and assist in making oral and written presentations to project teams and management. Will continuously seek education and training for new guidelines and requirements to keep up to date with EMR standards and best practices in the healthcare industry. 

Education:

  • High school diploma required.                   
  • Associate Degree in an Allied Health Profession, Information Systems, or closely related field preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ specific experience in Information Systems/Help Desk support required.
  • A minimum of 1-year specific Cerner support/troubleshooting experience required.
  • Experience specifically working as an Informatics Specialist / Support Analyst preferred.
  • Experience with a variety of clinical software systems in acute care setting and/or ambulatory setting preferred.
