iMethods is seeking (2) IBM Merge PACS analysts for a large healthcare system in Cincinnati, OH. This position is a permanent position and will require a relocation to the Cincinnati area. It is a remote, work from home position but onsite is required as needed for service/support, on call and meetings.
Position Summary:
The IBM Merge PACS position is responsible for supporting application implementations, upgrades and ongoing maintenance activities and supports Technology Governance, the Project Management Life cycle, Service Transition and Service Operations.
Qualifications:
Involvement in previous implementation of IBM Merge PACS system is desirable
Has a good concept of enterprise imaging workflow for Radiology, Cardiology, Surgery, OB, Orthopedics, Pathology, etc.
Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
Day to day support of the Radiology and Cardiology PACS systems, including the related ancillary systems such as Mammography PACS, advanced imaging systems for CT, MR, NucMed and Orthopedics, data analytics and decision support for imaging, and numerous legacy PACS systems acquired through system acquisitions.
Project oversight, modality and data integration, application testing and troubleshooting, managing system upgrades and integrating new site acquisitions into the PACS enterprise workflow
Preferred:
Expertise in PACS system or systems including server infrastructure, workflow, device integration
Solid knowledge of the Enterprise Archive/VNA with understanding of rules, data migration, routing, life cycle management, etc.
Understanding of PS360
Experience with XDS and non-DICOM workflows
Understanding of clinical workflows, worklist configuration and hanging protocols
Understanding of HL7 is ideal
Strong organizational and follow-through skills, ability to meet deadlines
This position performs high level technical systems analysis and programming in one or more specialized phases of applications.
Responsibility and accountability of managing the application portion of projects from concept to completion.
Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
Responsible for understanding customer needs and processes to ensure maximum utilization of automation and system availability.
Works with other Information System teams to ensure the performance of underlying technical infrastructure and software utilization.
This position is also accountable for application development, modifications of existing and new systems, customer support, consulting and providing information as appropriate to departments, management and the organization.
Scope includes defining and understanding specifications, preparing request for proposals, and participating in system acquisition process and implementation.
