iMethods is currently seeking an experienced Allscripts Clinical Systems Engineer for a full-time opportunity with a hospital client in Sarasota, Florida.

Description:

Responsible for technically supporting clinical information and business system applications.  The support includes, but is not limited to, implementations, upgrades, monitoring production systems and performing all activities needed for maintaining a stable and reliable clinical and business systems environment. Serves as an escalation point for Clinical and Business Systems Analysts and Call Center.  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Computer Applications or Information Systems) is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related system administration experience supporting clinical and business systems in a large hospital required.
  • Five (5) years of work experience with an active Associate or Bachelor’s degree program may be considered in lieu of the required degree.
  • Knowledge of the patient care setting or clinical practice either by profession or experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple computer operating systems, database applications, server hardware and software applications including but not limited to Allscripts AM/PFM, including programming, software set-up and implementation, data manipulation, report generation/design and Linux/Unix preferred.
  • Proficient with commonly used office applications and Database Management tools preferred.
  • Proficient with MS SQL 2008/2012; VMware; eLink/Iss
  • Extensive technical knowledge in the installation, operation and upgrade of hardware products including networking equipment, PC’s, printers, and modems in a networked environment, both serial and TCP/IP preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to research and problem solve preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present technical information in plain English and demonstrate clear communication skills to all levels of hospital personnel preferred.
  • Ability to interact and coordinate activities with various departments and vendors in support of ongoing projects and daily CIS operations preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate daily CBS operations and system project teams preferred.
  • Ability to develop operational procedures and go live tasks plans for implementing new or upgraded systems preferred.
  • Ability to develop detailed operational system documentation preferred.
  • Project Management experience with the ability to design, implement and prepare go live plans preferred.
