“Adopt a Mission” during the COVID-19 Pandemic

April 28, 2020

Hire Purpose Foundation, in coordination with iMethods, is hosting an Adopt a Mission fund-raising campaign. This effort is dedicated to supporting faith-based missions across the US as they work to serve those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. iMethods has employees in six metropolitan areas in the country – Jacksonville (FL), Atlanta (GA), Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (NC), Winston-Salem (NC), Denver (CO) and Boise (ID). As part of the Adopt a Mission campaign, our staff has connected with a charitable organization in their communities dedicated helping the underserved. Through this campaign, Hire Purpose Foundation will raise – and match! – funds for the benefit of individuals in those communities.

The work of area missions has never been more important. The number of Americans requiring food, shelter, help with mental and substance abuse issues, as well as support getting into permanent housing and finding work grows each day during the COVID-19 crisis. According to Jessica Smith, Hire Purpose Foundation Board Member and Senior Lead Recruiter at iMethods, “With iMethods employees living and working in so many cities outside of Jacksonville (iMethods’ headquarters), we decided to structure a campaign that benefitted our broader iMethods community. We are thrilled our team has stepped up and partnered with key missions in their hometowns to bring much-needed support to those suffering the worst hardships during this emergency.”

For funds donated through the Hire Purpose Foundation’s Adopt a Mission campaign, the Foundation will match $.50 of every dollar donated. Donors are able to contribute to the Hire Purpose Foundation generically for the campaign, where funds will be distributed equitably across the six identified organizations, or can designate a particular mission they wish to have benefit from their donation.

The money we raise will go a long way toward easing the burden of the people served by these missions. Every $1000 donated to a mission will serve (on average) 350 meals or provide 37 nights of shelter and food for the homeless. These organizations make a real impact on lives, and we are pleased to be able to support their efforts to serve their communities in crisis.

Visit to donate page to contribute to these organizations. *Please note, the Foundation’s total matching dollars for the campaign (across six community missions) will not exceed $5000.
